Course timetable for your calendar

You can add  the lecture timetable for the Markov Chains course to your Google calendar. Do

Other Calendars / Add by URL. You will see this pop-up.

Copy and paste the following into the URL box, and then click "Add Calendar":

https://www.google.com/calendar/ical/qkc3tv34usee04hs93mbhngvbc%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics

Do not simply click on the above link. Or if your do, then save the basic.ics file.  You can then import the data in this file to your Google calendar with ""Other calendars" / "Import calendar" / "Choose file". You can also import this file to an Outlook or Apple calendar.

Alternatively, here is a complete IB lecture calendar

I am also providing a way for you to put any subset of the IB lecture timetable in your Google calendar. The information in this calendar is taken from http://www.maths.cam.ac.uk/lecturelists/PartIBWeb.pdf.

Step 1. Click on the link below and save the file to your desktop. It is called basic.ics.

https://www.google.com/calendar/ical/ca0kgd53k18ghrpat5l4k4a3m4%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics

Step 2. If you want to import the timetable to your personal calendar then you can skip this step. If you would like to import to a different calendar, then go to your Google calendar and on the left of the page select "My calendars" /  "Create a new calendar" (giving it an appropriate name, such as "IB Lectures 2012-13").

Step 3. On the left of the page go to  "Other calendars" / "Import calendar", choose the above file and import it to your IB Lectures 2012-13 calendar, or simply to your personal calendar if you skipped Step 2.

You will now have the entries for the dates and times of all the 17 IB lecture courses. With a few mouse clicks you can easily delete the series for the courses that you are not attending.
